  1. Book Cover Design Services
    • Damonza.com offers ebook cover design and print book cover design services. A 50% deposit is required when placing an order.
    • For ebook cover design services, clients will receive a complete ebook cover design as a high-resolution JPEG file, along with a 3D rendering for marketing purposes.
    • For print cover design services, clients will receive a complete paperback print cover as a high-resolution print-ready PDF file, designed according to a template provided by Kindle Direct Printing, Ingram Spark, Lightning Source, or another printing company. The fee includes the final print-ready file for one service provider, with additional files incurring extra costs. Clients will also receive a corresponding ebook cover as a high-resolution JPEG file and a 3D rendering for marketing purposes.
    • We purchase royalty-free stock images licenses for your cover design. These images can only be used as part of your book cover design and not for other purposes.
    • AI images: We may use images created with the aid of artificial intelligence through Midjourney. These AI images are created with a commercial license, and therefore can legally be used on your book cover. All AI images are exclusively created for your book cover only, and are combined with other images (standard stock images or AI images) as well as human-designed text layout to create a unique cover. It’s important to note that AI images may be used as part of your cover design, not as the entire cover.
    • Discounts applied through coupon codes or discount codes only apply to items ordered at the time of the initial order. Additional items ordered later will not receive the discount.

  2. Book Cover Design Process
    • We begin with the front cover or ebook cover, providing at least one, two or four first drafts/concepts, depending on the package ordered.
    • Clients may request changes to one of the initial drafts. Changes will be made within a reasonable time, usually 1-2 business days, depending on the nature of the changes and our workload.
    • If clients are not satisfied with the initial drafts, we will design at least one new draft option. If clients remain unsatisfied, we may continue with new drafts or cancel the project and refund all fees paid.
    • Once a concept is selected and changes are made, earlier concepts are no longer available. Reverting to an earlier draft after rejecting it will result in a separate fee of at least 50% of the normal ebook cover design fee.
    • For budget and text-only cover orders, changes are limited to three rounds. For other design packages, we will make as many changes as necessary for the chosen cover, within reason. However, we reserve the right to cancel the project and refund all fees paid if we determine that we cannot meet the client’s expectations.

  3. Reasonable Changes
    • Reasonable changes include those that do not substantially alter the approved concept, are within the original brief, can be done through existing stock imagery, and do not constitute a completely new cover design. These changes typically involve tweaking elements, changing colors, moving elements, changing text placement and/or fonts, and resizing.

  4. Approval and Licensing
    • Upon approval of the ebook cover or print cover, clients will be invoiced for any remaining fees owed. Once paid, the final high-resolution files will be provided.
    • Clients are granted an exclusive license to use the final cover design artwork for their ebook or print cover and associated marketing materials. Alterations to the cover design must be approved in writing by Damonza.com or supplied by Damonza.com.
    • Clients are not granted any rights to use earlier drafts in any way or to use the final approved covers or interior files until full payment has been received.
    • Clients agree to be satisfied with the approved cover as is, even if it contains errors, inconsistencies, or defects. Damonza.com is not liable for any penalties, errors, or losses resulting from the use of the cover.

  5. Print Cover Design Process
    • After the ebook cover or front cover is approved, we will begin the print/paperback cover design process, including the design of the spine and back cover. The required information for this process includes final trim size, final page count, back cover text and information, printer details, paper color, and ISBN (if applicable). If printing with a company other than Kindle Direct Publishing, Ingram Spark, or Lightning Source, clients must provide a template from their printer.
    • Changes to the provided information after the layout of the print cover has begun will result in additional costs.
    • We will send one print cover draft based on the provided information and make reasonable changes until the client is satisfied.
    • Upon approval of the print cover, clients will be invoiced for any outstanding fees. Once paid, the final high-resolution print-ready CMYK PDF file will be provided.
    • Clients are responsible for distributing the print-ready file to their printer and obtaining a printed proof of the final print cover. Damonza.com is not liable for any errors or losses resulting from the printing of the cover.

  6. Formatting and Interior Layout Services
    • Damonza.com offers formatting and interior layout services for ebooks and print books, ensuring a professional and polished appearance for your book’s interior.
    • The formatting and interior layout services include appropriate font selection, line spacing, margins, chapter headings, and many other industry-standard design elements that enhance the overall reading experience.
    • Clients must provide the final manuscript, including any front and back matter, in a Microsoft Word or comparable text document format. Any changes to the content provided in the manuscript after the formatting process has begun may result in additional fees.
    • We will provide a draft of the formatted interior for review. Clients may request reasonable changes, and we will make revisions until the client is satisfied.
    • Upon approval of the formatted interior, clients will be invoiced for any outstanding fees. Once paid, the final files for both ebook and print book interior layouts will be provided.
    • Clients are responsible for uploading the final files to their chosen publishing platforms. Damonza.com is not liable for any errors or losses resulting from the uploading or distribution of the formatted interior files.
    • Clients agree to be satisfied with the approved interior layout as is, even if it contains errors, inconsistencies, or defects. Damonza.com is not liable for any penalties, errors, or losses resulting from the use of the formatted interior. Any changes made to the approved interior layout after approval will be charged at a separate fee (dependent on the nature of the changes).

  7. Cancellation
    • Damonza.com reserves the right to cancel a project at any time for any reason, including numerous drafts, concept changes, communication breakdowns, or changes to the original brief. In such cases, we will refund all fees paid up to that point.
    • Clients may cancel the project and receive a full refund of all fees paid, provided they have not selected a cover design concept to move forward with, and there has been correspondence regarding the cover within three months prior to cancellation.
    • For interior formatting projects, clients may cancel the service after the first draft has been sent out, and receive a full refund of interior formatting fees paid.
    • If clients wish to cancel the cover design project after selecting an initial draft, the cover design deposit will be forfeited, and any other fees paid (e.g., additional services) will be refunded.
    • For interior formatting projects, if two or more formatting drafts have already been delivered to the client, Damonza.com will determine the validity of the cancellation on a case by case basis. In some cases, at the discretion of Damonza, the interior formatting deposit paid may not be refunded to the client.
    • If clients wish to cancel the project after the final ebook cover or front cover, or interior formatting, has been approved, they will forfeit 100% of the ebook cover design fee or interior formatting fee.
    • In the case of any cancellation, clients must destroy all designs and formatting files created by Damonza.com and sent to the client. Clients retain no rights to any designs whatsoever.

Clients may not alter the cover design in any way without written approval from Damonza.com or unless the alterations are supplied by Damonza.com.
    • Clients are not granted any rights to use any earlier drafts in any way whatsoever or to use the final approved covers or interior files until full payment has been received.
