Need Help With Barcode Settings?

No Price? If you leave the price field empty, your barcode will not include a price block. This is common for online-only sales or if you want the flexibility to change pricing later without editing your cover.

Want to include a placeholder? Tick “No set price” and we’ll embed the standard 90000 value. This tells bookstores that the price should be checked in their system, not on the cover. Use this if you want your book in physical stores but aren’t ready to commit to a fixed price yet.

Need a specific price and currency? Enter it in the price field and select the correct currency. For example, a US price of 6.99 becomes 50699, while a UK price of 6.99 becomes 00699.

Do You Even Need a Barcode?

If you're self-publishing on Amazon with Amazon KDP, you probably don't — Amazon adds a barcode for you. But if you're publishing through IngramSpark, selling in physical bookstores, or want to handle your own printing, it's best to supply your own barcode to your cover designer.
